• Simulates 8 faults that can be used individually, or in a combination:
– Cross battery
– Resistive 5 kohm load to ground
– Resistive 500 ohm short
– Two balanced bridge taps
– 60 ohm series resistance fault
– 60 Hz Power Influence
– High frequency noise
• 1910 foot cable length
• Battery operated
• Rugedized case
• Convenient Test Lead connections.
• Three access locations in the span for custOm faults
• Train users on real twisted-pair faults
• Test multiple test set functions such as RFL, TDR, Power Influence, Stress,
Leakage, Resistance, impulse noise and others
• Verify results from the field in a controlled environment
• Demonstrates how noise increases with pair imbalances
• Show differences between shorts, bridge taps, series faults and opens
with a TDR
