Output Over Voltage Protection

TheTS32101hasanoutputovervoltageprotectioncircuit

whichpreventsthedevicefromreachingadangerously

highvoltageundersuddenlightloadconditions.Thetypical

Overvoltagedetectionthresholdis102%ofVout.

Output Voltage Disable

WhentheenablepinoftheTS32101islow,notonlyis

switchingdisabled,buttheoutputisisolatedfromtheinput.

Thisfunctionalityismaintainedwhethertheoutputnodeisat

ahigheroralowerpotentialthantheinputvoltage.

Low Power Mode

WhentheoutputcurrentislowtheTS32101willdetect

andautomaticallyenterlowpowermode.Inlowpower

mode,switchingstopswhentheoutputisslightlyabove

theregulationpointandthedeviceentersasleepstate.The

sleepstatecontinuesuntiltheoutputdropsslightlybelowthe

regulationpoint.Atthispoint,switchingwillresumeandifthe

loadcurrentisincreasedenoughtopreventtheoutputfrom

goingabovetheregulationpoint,lowpowermodeisexited.
