Video Processor Family Each member of the family contains the entire video, display, and deflection processing for 4:3 and 16:9, 50/ 60 Hz TV sets. Its performance and flexibility allow the user to standardize his product development. Hard- ware and software applications can profit from the modularity, as well as manufacturing, systems support or maintenance. An overview of the VDP 313xY video processor family is shown in Fig. 1–2. The new VDP 313xY family is the next generation of Video and Deflection Processors. The main differ- ences towards the VDP 31xxB family are – YCRCB component input – angle and bow correction – automatic standard recognition – detection of Macrovision signals – no dig.
