22 / 86 page ![]() P30-65nm Datasheet Sept 2012 22 Order Number: 208042-0 6 7.0 Read Operation The device can be in any of four read states: Read Array, Read Identifier, Read Status or Read Query. Upon power-up or after a reset, the device defaults to Read Array mode. To change the read state, the appropriate read command must be written to the device (see Section 6.2, “Device Command Bus Cycles” on page 20). The following sections describe read-mode operations in detail. In order to enable synchronous burst reads, the RCR must be configured. Please see Section 11.2, “Read Configuration Register (RCR) (Easy BGA)” on page 35 for RCR detail. Please refer to Section 5.2, “Read - Asynchronous Page Mode (Easy BGA)” on page 16, Section 5.2, “Read - Asynchronous Page Mode (Easy BGA)” on page 16 and Section 5.3, “Read - Synchronous Mode (Easy BGA)” on page 17 for bus operation detail. See Section 25, “AC Read Specifications -” on page 51 for timing specification. 7.1 Read Array Following a device power-up or reset, the device is set to Read Array mode. However, to perform array reads after any other device operation (e.g. write operation), the Read Array command must be issued in order to read from the flash memory array. Please refer to Section 5.2, “Read - Asynchronous Page Mode (Easy BGA)” on page 16, Section 5.2, “Read - Asynchronous Page Mode (Easy BGA)” on page 16 and Section 5.3, “Read - Synchronous Mode (Easy BGA)” on page 17 for bus operation detail. See Section 25, “AC Read Specifications -” on page 51 for timing specification. 7.2 Read Device Identifier The Read Device Identifier command instructs the device to output manufacturer code, device identifier code, block-lock status, OTP Register data, or configuration register data (see Section 6.2, “Device Command Bus Cycles” on page 20 for details on issuing the Read Device Identifier command). Table 8, “Device Identifier Information” on page 22 and Table 9, “Device ID codes” on page 23 show the address offsets and data values for this device.
