This chapter focuses on GPIO functionality and operation.

22.1

Overview

The general purpose input/output block provides 6 programmable inputs or outputs. Each

input/output can be controlled through an APB interface.

22.2

Main features

●

Six individually programmable input/output pins (default to input at reset)

●

Two additional GPIOs dedicated for SPI chip select

●

An APB slave acting as control interface

●

Programmable interrupt generation capability on any number of pins.

●

Bit masking in both read and write operation through address lines.

22.3.1

Pins

The GPIO directly interfaces with the signals summarized in Table 74: GPIO signal

interface. A functional diagram of these signal interfaces is given in Figure 93.
