General Description
ThedevicesareFlashMemorytype8-bithighperformanceRISCarchitecturemicrocontrollers.
OfferinguserstheconvenienceofFlashMemorymulti-programmingfeatures,thesedevicesalso
includeawiderangeoffunctionsandfeatures.OthermemoryincludesanareaofRAMData
MemoryaswellasanareaofEEPROMmemoryforstorageofnon-volatiledatasuchasserial
numbers,calibrationdataetc.
MultipleandextremelyflexibleTimerModulesprovidetiming,andPWMgenerationfunctions.
ProtectivefeaturessuchasaninternalWatchdogTimer,LowVoltageResetcoupledwithexcellent
noiseimmunityandESDprotectionensurethatreliableoperationismaintainedinhostileelectrical
environments.
AfullchoiceofHXT,HIRCandLIRCoscillatorfunctionsareprovidedincludingafullyintegrated
systemoscillatorwhichrequiresnoexternalcomponentsforitsimplementation.Theabilityto
operateandswitchdynamicallybetweenarangeofoperatingmodesusingdifferentclocksources
givesuserstheabilitytooptimisemicrocontrolleroperationandminimisepowerconsumption.
TheinclusionofflexibleI/Oprogrammingfeatures,Time-Basefunctionsalongwithmanyother
featuresensurethatthedeviceswillfindexcellentuseinapplicationssuchaselectronicmetering,
environmentalmonitoring,handheldinstruments,householdappliances,electronicallycontrolled
tools,motordrivinginadditiontomanyothers.
