37 / 170 page  Rev. 1.30 3� De�e��e� 1�� �01� Rev. 1.30 37 De�e��e� 1�� �01� HT45F4N/HT45FH4N Power Bank Flash MCU HT45F4N/HT45FH4N Power Bank Flash MCU EEPROM Data Memory OneofthespecialfeaturesinthedeviceisitsinternalEEPROMDataMemory.EEPROM,which standsforElectricallyErasableProgrammableReadOnlyMemory,isbyitsnatureanon-volatile formofmemory,withdataretentionevenwhenitspowersupplyisremoved.Byincorporating thiskindofdatamemory,awholenewhostofapplicationpossibilitiesaremadeavailabletothe designer.TheavailabilityofEEPROMstorageallowsinformationsuchasproductidentification numbers,calibrationvalues,specificuserdata,systemsetupdataorotherproductinformationto bestoreddirectlywithintheproductmicrocontroller.Theprocessofreadingandwritingdatatothe EEPROMmemoryhasbeenreducedtoaverytrivialaffair. EEPROM Data Memory Structure TheEEPROMDataMemorycapacityisupto64×8bits.UnliketheProgramMemoryandRAM DataMemory,theEEPROMDataMemoryisnotdirectlymappedandisthereforenotdirectly accessibleinthesamewayastheothertypesofmemory.ReadandWriteoperationstothe EEPROMarecarriedoutinsinglebyteoperationsusinganaddressanddataregisterinBank0and asinglecontrolregisterinBank1. EEPROM Registers ThreeregisterscontroltheoveralloperationoftheinternalEEPROMDataMemory.Thesearethe addressregister,EEA,thedataregister,EEDandasinglecontrolregister,EEC.AsboththeEEA andEEDregistersarelocatedinBank0,theycanbedirectlyaccessedinthesamewayasanyother SpecialFunctionRegister.TheEECregisterhowever,beinglocatedinBank1,cannotbedirectly addresseddirectlyandcanonlybereadfromorwrittentoindirectlyusingtheMP1MemoryPointer andIndirectAddressingRegister,IAR1.BecausetheEECcontrolregisterislocatedataddress40H inBank1,theMP1MemoryPointermustfirstbesettothevalue40HandtheBankPointerregister, BP,settothevalue,01H,beforeanyoperationsontheEECregisterareexecuted.
