8.3.3.1 BER SOFT Average Error Registers

After a message is received in BUF_RX0, this register stores the logarithm of the number of accumulated errors

regarding the number of received bits, using Viterbi soft* decision. In PRIME v1.4 mode, it is calculated from the

arithmetic average of the accumulated errors in each one of the four replicated symbols. The value is cleared by

hardware each time a new message is received in BUF_RX0.
