Entering the IDLE0 Mode
ThereisonlyonewayforthesedevicestoentertheIDLE0Modeandthatistoexecutethe"HALT"
instructionintheapplicationprogramwiththeFHIDENbitintheSCCregisterequalto"0"andthe
FSIDENbitintheSCCregisterequalto"1".Whenthisinstructionisexecutedundertheconditions
describedabove,thefollowingwilloccur:
• ThefHclockwillbestoppedandtheapplicationprogramwillstopatthe"HALT"instruction,but
thefSUBclockwillbeon.
• TheDataMemorycontentsandregisterswillmaintaintheirpresentcondition.
• TheI/Oportswillmaintaintheirpresentconditions.
• Inthestatusregister,thePowerDownflag,PDF,willbesetandtheWatchdogtime-outflag,TO,
willbecleared.
• TheWDTwillbeclearedandresumecountingiftheWDTfunctionisenabled.IftheWDT
functionisdisabled,theWDTwillbeclearedandthenstopped.
Entering the IDLE1 Mode
ThereisonlyonewayforthesedevicestoentertheIDLE1Modeandthatistoexecutethe"HALT"
instructionintheapplicationprogramwithboththeFHIDENandFSIDENbitsintheSCCregister
equalto"1".Whenthisinstructionisexecutedundertheconditionsdescribedabove,thefollowing
willoccur:
• ThefHandfSUBclockswillbeonbuttheapplicationprogramwillstopatthe"HALT"instruction.
• TheDataMemorycontentsandregisterswillmaintaintheirpresentcondition.
• TheI/Oportswillmaintaintheirpresentconditions.
• Inthestatusregister,thePowerDownflag,PDF,willbesetandtheWatchdogtime-outflag,TO,
willbecleared.
• TheWDTwillbeclearedandresumecountingiftheWDTfunctionisenabled.IftheWDT
functionisdisabled,theWDTwillbeclearedandthenstopped.
