151 / 224 page  Rev. 1.00 150 De�e��e� �1� �01� Rev. 1.00 151 De�e��e� �1� �01� HT66F4530/HT66F4540/HT66F4550 A/D Flash MCU with Dual Operational Amplifiers HT66F4530/HT66F4540/HT66F4550 A/D Flash MCU with Dual Operational Amplifiers UART External Pins Tocommunicatewithanexternalserialinterface,theinternalUARThastwoexternalpinsknown asTXandRX.TheTXandRXpinsaretheUARTtransmitterandreceiverpinsrespectively.The TXandRXpinfunctionshouldfirstbeselectedbythecorrespondingpin-sharedfunctionselection registerbeforetheUARTfunctionisused.AlongwiththeUARTENbit,theTXENandRXENbits, ifset,willsetupthesepinstotheirrespectiveTXoutputandRXinputconditionsanddisableany pull-highresistoroptionwhichmayexistontheTXandRXpins.WhentheTXorRXpinfunction isdisabledbyclearingtheUARTEN,TXENorRXENbit,theTXorRXpinwillbesettoafloating state.Atthistimewhethertheinternalpull-highresistorisconnectedtotheTXorRXpinornotis determinedbythecorrespondingI/Opull-highfunctioncontrolbit. UART Data Transfer Scheme TheaboveblockdiagramshowstheoveralldatatransferstructurearrangementfortheUART.The actualdatatobetransmittedfromtheMCUisfirsttransferredtotheTXR_RXRregisterbythe applicationprogram.ThedatawillthenbetransferredtotheTransmitShiftRegisterfromwhereit willbeshiftedout,LSBfirst,ontotheTXpinataratecontrolledbytheBaudRateGenerator.Only theTXR_RXRregisterismappedontotheMCUDataMemory,theTransmitShiftRegisterisnot mappedandisthereforeinaccessibletotheapplicationprogram. DatatobereceivedbytheUARTisacceptedontheexternalRXpin,fromwhereitisshiftedin, LSBfirst,totheReceiverShiftRegisterataratecontrolledbytheBaudRateGenerator.Whenthe shiftregisterisfull,thedatawillthenbetransferredfromtheshiftregistertotheinternalTXR_RXR register,whereitisbufferedandcanbemanipulatedbytheapplicationprogram.OnlytheTXR_ RXRregisterismappedontotheMCUDataMemory,theReceiverShiftRegisterisnotmappedand isthereforeinaccessibletotheapplicationprogram. Itshouldbenotedthattheactualregisterfordatatransmissionandreceptiononlyexistsasasingle sharedregisterintheDataMemory.ThissharedregisterknownastheTXR_RXRregisterisused forbothdatatransmissionanddatareception. UART Status and Control Registers TherearefivecontrolregistersassociatedwiththeUARTfunction.TheUSR,UCR1andUCR2 registerscontroltheoverallfunctionoftheUART,whiletheBRGregistercontrolstheBaudrate. TheactualdatatobetransmittedandreceivedontheserialinterfaceismanagedthroughtheTXR_ RXRdataregister.
