Ifsetupasatransmitter,theslavedevicemustfirstwritethedatatobetransmittedintotheSIMD register.Ifsetupasareceiver,theslavedevicemustreadthetransmitteddatafromtheSIMD register. Whentheslavereceiverreceivesthedatabyte,itmustgenerateanacknowledgebit,knownas TXAK,onthe9thclock.Theslavedevice,whichissetupasatransmitterwillchecktheRXAKbit intheSIMC1registertodetermineifitistosendanotherdatabyte,ifnotthenitwillreleasethe SDAlineandawaitthereceiptofaSTOPsignalfromthemaster.
