LVD Register TheLowVoltageDetectorfunctioniscontrolledusingasingleregisterwiththenameLVDC.Three bitsinthisregister,VLVD2~VLVD0,areusedtoselectoneofeightfixedvoltagesbelowwhich alowvoltageconditionwillbedetermined.AlowvoltageconditionisindicatedwhentheLVDO bitisset.IftheLVDObitislow,thisindicatesthattheVDDvoltageisabovethepresetlowvoltage value.TheLVDENbitisusedtocontroltheoverallon/offfunctionofthelowvoltagedetector. Settingthebithighwillenablethelowvoltagedetector.Clearingthebittozerowillswitchoffthe internallowvoltagedetectorcircuits.Asthelowvoltagedetectorwillconsumeacertainamountof power,itmaybedesirabletoswitchoffthecircuitwhennotinuse,animportantconsiderationin powersensitivebatterypoweredapplications.
