TherearethreemethodsformonitoringEAstatus.PreviousgenerationsoftheMYX29GL01GS11DPIV2used

themethodscalledDataPollingandReady/Busy#(RY/BY#)Signal.Thesemethodsarestillsupportedbythe

MYX29GL01GS11DPIV2.OneadditionalmethodisreadingtheStatusRegister.

5.4.1

Status Register

The status of program and erase operations is provided by a single 16-bit status register. The status is

receiverbywritingtheStatusRegisterReadcommandfollowedbyareadaccess.WhentheStatusRegister

readcommandisissued,thecurrentstatusiscaptured(bytherisingedgeofWE#)intotheregisterandthe

ASOisentered.Thecontentsofthestatusregisterisaliased(overlaid)onthefullmemoryaddressspace.

Anyvalidread(CE#andOE#low)accesswhileintheStatusRegisterASOwillexittheASO(withtherising

edgeofCE#orOE#fortCEPH/tOEPHtime)andreturntotheaddressspacemapinusewhentheStatus

RegisterReadcommandwasissued.

Thestatusregistercontainsbitsrelatedtotheresults-successorfailure-ofthemostrecentlycompleted

EmbeddedAlgorithms(EA):

• EraseStatus(bit5),

• ProgramStatus(bit4),

• WriteBufferAbort(bit3),

• SectorLockedStatus(bit1),

• RFU(bit0).

and,bitsrelatedtothecurrentstateofanyinprocessEA:

• DeviceBusy(bit7),

• EraseSuspended(bit6),

• ProgramSuspended(bit2),

ThecurrentstatebitsindicatewhetheranEAisinprocess,suspended,orcompleted.
